M. Gayle Boyette is a registered nurse at Elkins' Davis Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. Gayle is among the winners of the 2007 Road Kill Cook-off, participating with her husband, lifelong Pocahontas County resident Sam Gibson.

Gayle also manages Pleasant Valley Farms in Slatyfork. The 900-acre farm, buffered on three sides by the Monongahela National Forest, is where she and her husband are raising their young son. She is enthusiastic about agri-tourism in Pocahontas County and is developing a sustainable farm where visitors to the county can learn about WV culture as well. She enjoys the outdoors and makes every effort to spend time in Pocahontas County enjoying skiing and horseback riding.
